Degree Awarded

At the successful completion of the train­ing programme in Medicine, a student is awarded MBBS degree (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) of the University of Benin. The degree is awarded without honours classification, but a student may pass with distinction in indi­vidual subjects. The degree is registrable with and are approved by the Nigeria Medi­cal and Dental Council, and qualify the recipient to practise the profession of Medicine in Ni­geria.
